CCTV5 program list (January 28, 2024) - Recently, Thames Higher Education (THE) released the 2023 World University Ranking, which includes a research index ranking specifically for European Cup participating countries. The ranking reflects the innovation trend and potential of European countries based on their performance in the ranking of world universities and factors such as teaching, research, international outlook and knowledge transfer.
According to the ranking, Switzerland, Sweden and the United States of America rank in the top three respectively, which shows their advantages and influence in the field of higher education and scientific research. Among them, Switzerland has 7 universities that have entered the top 200 universities in the world, Sweden has 8, and the United States has 58. Universities in these countries have outstanding performance in teaching quality, research level, international cooperation and knowledge transfer, providing strong support for social and economic development.
It is worth noting that France, Ireland, Greece and other countries have significantly improved in the ranking of the research index, which shows the progress and vitality of these countries in the field of innovation. France rose from the 10th place last year to the 6th place. It has 14 universities that have entered the top 200 universities in the world, of which the Paris Normal University and the Paris Institute of Higher Engineers ranked 43rd and 48th respectively, which are the two highest universities in France. Ireland rose from 15th to 11th place last year, with three universities ranking in the top 200 in the world, of which the University of Dublin and Trinity College Dublin ranked 101st and 155th respectively, the two highest universities in Ireland. Greece rose from the 24th place last year to the 18th place. It has one university ranking in the top 200 universities in the world, namely the National University of Athens, ranking 183rd, which is the highest university in Greece.
