The 2024 European Cup will be held in Germany from June 11 to July 11, 2024, which is the second time that Germany has hosted the European Cup since 1988. The German Football Association has identified 10 host cities and venues, namely Berlin, Munich, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Dusseldorf and Giessen.
The official website of the German Football Association announced that the 2024 European Cup tickets will be officially sold on October 3, 2023. There are three types of tickets, namely, single match tickets, city tickets and follow team tickets. The price of a single ticket varies from 30 euros to 945 euros depending on the venue and the stage of the competition. The city package refers to the purchase of tickets for all competitions in a city, with prices ranging from 195 euros to 2835 euros. The following team package refers to the purchase of tickets for all matches of a team, with prices ranging from 345 euros to 4725 euros.
The German Football Association has also introduced some preferential measures. For example, children, students, the elderly and the disabled can enjoy half price tickets, and each ticket includes the public transport cost of the day. In addition, the German Football Association has also cooperated with the European Railway Company to provide preferential train tickets for fans who buy tickets, so that they can watch the games in Germany.
Fritz Keller, president of the German Football Association, said he hoped that the 2024 European Cup would become a football feast and a platform for cultural exchanges. The draw ceremony for the 2024 European Cup will be held in Munich in December 2023, when the grouping and schedule of 24 teams will be determined. At present, there are 13 teams that have won the qualification through preliminary matches or national leagues, including Germany, France, England, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Croatia, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Austria and the Czech Republic. The remaining 11 seats will be created in the play off from March to November 2023.
