The schedule of the European Cup has been finally drawn on December 2, 2023 to determine the grouping and match of the group matches. The group matches of the European Cup will start on June 14, 2024 and end on July 14, 2024, with a total of 51 matches. In order to learn the organizing experience of the European Cup and improve the level of Chinese football, the Chinese Football Association announced that it would send an observer delegation to Germany to watch the European Cup matches and activities, and exchange and cooperate with the European Football Association and the German Football Association. The delegation will be led by Zhang Jian, the vice chairman and secretary-general of the Chinese Football Association, and its members include the technical director of the Chinese Football Association, the coach training director, the director of the referee committee, the director of the Youth Development Department and other relevant departments, as well as representatives of some domestic clubs. The observation team will focus on the event management, technical analysis, coach training, referee training, youth training and other aspects of the European Cup, with a view to providing reference and enlightenment for the reform and development of Chinese football.
The Chinese Football Association said that the European Cup is the highest level demonstration of European football and also the learning object and goal of Chinese football. Through the delegation of the observer team, the Chinese Football Association hopes to strengthen communication and cooperation with the European Football Association and the German Football Association, improve the professional level and international influence of Chinese football, and lay a solid foundation for the long-term development of Chinese football.
