There are 24 teams participating in this European Cup, which is divided into six groups. The top two teams and the four best third teams in each group will enter the knockout phase and finally win the European Cup. The final will be held at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on July 15.
The teams participating in this European Cup are Germany (host), France (defending champion), Spain, Italy, England, Belgium, Portugal, the Netherlands, Croatia, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Russia, Wales, Finland, Hungary, Slovakia, Scotland and Northern Macedonia.
