According to CCTV5 program list (February 2, 2024), the last round of the European Cup group match ended last night and the list of the top 16 was announced. France, Belgium, Italy and other giants qualified as expected, while Germany, Portugal and other strong teams narrowly won, while Turkey, Poland, Scotland and other teams were sadly out.
In Group A, Italy won the first place with three victories, while Switzerland beat Wales with goal difference to win the second place in the group. Turkey, on the other hand, was defeated in all three wars and missed the top 16.
In Group B, Belgium also won all three games and easily qualified. Denmark beat Russia 4-1 in the last round to reverse the qualification and win the second place in the group. Finland and Russia were out as third and fourth respectively.
In Group C, the Netherlands won the first place in the group with a total victory, while Austria won the second place in the group with two wins and one loss. Ukraine and Northern Macedonia were eliminated as third and fourth respectively.
In Group D, England won the first place in the group with a record of two wins and one draw, while Croatia beat Scotland 3-1 in the final round to win the second place in the group. The Czech Republic and Scotland were out as third and fourth respectively.
In Group E, Sweden beat Poland 3-2 in the final round to win the first place in the group, while Spain beat Slovakia 5-0 in the final round to win the second place in the group. Poland and Slovakia were eliminated as third and fourth respectively.
In Group F, France won the first place in the group with a record of one win and two draws, while Germany won the second place in the group with a 2-2 victory over Hungary in the last round. Portugal came out as third, Hungary as fourth.
