The result of the draw shows that the host Germany is in Group F with the last champion France, the last top four Spain and Romania, which is considered as the "death group" of this European Cup. These three strong teams have all won the European Cup, while Romania is a dark horse that has performed well in the qualification. Group F matches will be held in Munich and Bucharest and are expected to be very intense.
In addition, England, Croatia, Slovakia and Albania are divided into Group D, which is considered as the "revenge group" of this European Cup. England and Croatia met in the semi-final of the last European Cup, and Croatia reversed England 2-1 to advance to the final. Slovakia and Albania met in the group match of the 2016 European Cup. Slovakia defeated Albania 2-1 and reached the last 16. Group D will be played in London and Glasgow, which is expected to be very exciting.
